June 2026

Dear ESQE

As we come to the close of another school year, I'd like to pause and reflect with gratitude.

To our students, you bring life to our school each and every day. This year has been filled with growth, perseverance, curiosity, and joy. You've taken risks, learned from challenges, and supported one  another along the way. To our grade 6 students, your leadership has left a lasting mark on our community. While we will miss you, we are excited to see all that lies ahead for you.

To our families and PAC, thank you for walking alongside us. Your ongoing support, involvement, and trust help create a strong and connected school community where students can truly thrive.

To our staff, your commitment, compassion, and teamwork make this school a place where both students and adults feel valued, inspired, and supported. The care you show each day does not go unnoticed.

As summer begins, I hope it brings opportunities to rest, recharge, and reconnect with what matters most. May the weeks ahead be filled with simply joys, meaningful moments, and time to unwind.

With sincere appreciation,
Sarah Hain,
ESQE Principal

Summer Suggestions!
  1. Keep a Routine: Children thrive with routine, maintaining a routine will help the transition back to school in the fall. This can include wake up time!
  2. Get Sleep! It may be tempting to sleep in OR stay up late, we encourage children to maintain a consistent sleep schedule, similar to school.
  3. Set Boundaries: Limit screen time, dedicated quiet time
  4. Continue Learning: Encourage reading time, journaling
  5. Explore the Howe Sound: Take advantage of the amazing beauty of Squamish

ESQE Track and field
Our grade 3-6 students competed at the district track meet on June 9th at Don Ross Middle School. They did an amazing job representing our school and kept a positive attitude despite all the rain (and even some thunder!). A big thank you to all the students who took part and to all the wonderful families who came out to volunteer and support. Also - a shout out to all the teachers who donated their time to coach our students!
