Happy Friday ESQE Families,
There is lots on the go at this time of year, so please make sure you are keeping up to date with all the action! A shout out to our PAC for another successful Carnival! How cool was the robotic spider?!
Don't forget to let us know if there are any changes for next year, such as a move. The more information we have, the better we can plan for next school year.

- If ESQE is not your catchment school and you would like to switch to English, you will need to register with your catchment school. If you would like to stay at ESQE, then you will be required to submit a transfer request through your catchment school.
- If ESQE is your catchment school, you need a program transfer request through the office.

School Supplies!
- New this year! Families, no need to purchase supplies right now! Once students are in classes in September, the class teacher will send a list specific to their class. You will have the option to purchase directly online with the company OR use the list to go out and purchase yourself based on this list. We encourage families to wait until the Fall when you receive the list specific to your child's class. More information to come in early September.
ESQE School Learning Plan
As a Squamish Elementary Staff we collectively create a "School Learning Plan". This plan acts as a pathway to focus conversations, staff development opportunities, and collaboration day work. Over the course of the last 3 years, we have been targeting "Literacy" and "Collaboration".
This year, members of the SD48 Senior Management, our PAC, and the Board of Trustees visited our school to hear more about the work we are doing at SQE. They were welcomed to our school by the ESQE Drumming group.
If you would like to learn more about what we do, check out our learning plan site!

What an amazing Market Day! Our grade 5/6's in Mrs. Sorensen's, Mr. Georgy-Embree's, and Mme. Paquette's class worked hard to host this years Market Day. This is a day to embrace your inner entrepreneur. A portion of the proceeds made help send grade 6 students to Evans lake Camp!

This month we launched our SQE Breakfast Club. We know that mornings can be busy, and want to make sure that all students have the chance to have breakfast before the day starts. The Breakfast Club is open to everyone, from 8:40 - 8:55 in the library.

Our library has been busy this month! Paul Shore, a local writer from Whistler did a creative writing workshop with Mme. Hryhirchuk's and Mrs. Sorensen's classes, Michael Allen, the Bear Expert, came in and taught us all about the local bears and how to stay safe, and the library was transformed into Story Camp!

Our grade 4-6 students represented ESQE at the district track meet on May 21st at Don Ross Middle School. They did an amazing job representing our school and had a positive attitude! That wraps up our track and field season for the year. Thank you to all the students who took part, and to the families who came out to support!

A huge thank you to the Squamish Rotary, and Mrs. Busschaert for organizing this year's Bike Rodeo. Students had an opportunity to learn about bike safety and have their bike inspected! As the beautiful weather of spring and summer joins us, we encourage families and students to bike to school!

Mme. Hryhirchuk's and Mme. Paquette's class participated in the "concours d'art d'oratoire" French public speaking contest!
